Sample Answer

Some people spend a lifetime working for the same company, while others say that it is more beneficial to work for different organizations. This essay will discuss both sides of this argument and explain why I believe that it is more advantageous to work for a variety of companies.

On the one hand, in this fast-moving world when people change jobs frequently, many companies value loyalty over anything else. Therefore, those who spend their lives staying with the same organization are often given better benefits, such as longer holidays or a more attractive pension scheme, than those who only work for their company for one or two years and switch to another organization. In addition, long-term employees have more opportunities to climb the corporate ladder due to their accumulation of skills and experience. In order for someone to get to the position of a manager or a CEO, for example, they have to make great contributions to their company for a long period of time.

In spite of the above argument, I support the view that it is better to work for various companies. Firstly, working in different environments gives people a chance to develop new sets of skills. For example, switching from a local firm to a multinational organization helps workers to improve their language skills and get a better insight into different cultures and traditions around the world. Another thing is that people might feel bored when working for a company for too long. By contrast, working for different organizations provides people with the opportunity to take on new challenges, which prevents feeling of monotony and makes their work much more interesting.

In conclusion, although some people say that employees should only stick with one company all their working life, I am of the opinion that it is worth spending their lives working for different organizations because it can help them learn valuable skill sets and adds excitement to their work.
