What kind of housing/accommodation do you live in?
I’m currently living in a two-storey house on the outskirts of the city. It’s quite spacious compared to many other houses in my area, and it has a lovely garden where we grow vegetables and flowers.
- a two-storey house = a house with two levels or floors.
- spacious = having a lot of space; large and comfortable.
Do you plan to live there for a long time?
Not really. I think I’ll stay here for around five more years. The house is good for now, but since I have ten dogs, I definitely need more space for them to run around. So during this time, I want to save enough money to build my dream house, which will be bigger and more suitable for both my family and my pets.
- dream house = a perfect or ideal house that someone wishes to have.
Which room does your family spend most of the time in?
That would definitely be the living room. Every evening, we gather there to chat, watch our favourite TV shows, and sometimes play board games together. It’s the coziest part of the house.
- board games = games played on a flat surface with pieces, cards, or dice (e.g., chess, Monopoly).
- gather = to come together in one place.
Which room do you like most in your house?
Personally, I love my bedroom the most. It’s my little retreat where I can relax and recharge. It even has a balcony that overlooks the backyard, which makes it extra peaceful.
- retreat = a quiet or private place where you can relax and rest.
- recharge = to regain energy or strength after feeling tired.
- balcony = a small outdoor area connected to an upper floor of a building, usually with a railing.
- backyard = an open area of land behind a house.
What’s the difference between where you are living now and where you lived in the past?
In the past, I lived in a much smaller house near the main road. It was always noisy because of the traffic. Now, my home is on a farm, surrounded by greenery and filled with fresh air, so the quality of life is much better.
- greenery = plants, trees, and other green vegetation.
- filled with = containing a large amount of something; having something inside completely.
